A. Aims and objectives
- In this period, Ss practice speaking and listening. They learn how to greet and self-introduction.
- After the lesson , Ss can:
+ use the words and phrases related to the topic Introduction.
+ Greet others and introduce themselves, using Hello/ Hi. I’m + (name).
+ Write the missing words.
+ Greet and response to greetings, using How are you? And I’m fine, thanks. And you?
+ Say goodbye, using Goodbye/ bye.

- Ss: book Tieng anh 3.
- T: stereo, teaching plan, pictures.
C. Contents and organization.
I. Warm up
- T and Ss greet
II. Old lesson
Revise greeting, introduction and asking health.
III.New lesson.
- Show Ss how to number the boxes. Do the 1st question as an e.x to make the task clear.
- Draw Ss’ attention to the 1st pic. Check their understanding by eliciting what is happening in the pic. Give feedback. Repeat the produce with the rest of the pics.
- Play the recording three times for Ss to listen, do the task and check their answers.
- Get Ss to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.
- Give Ss a few seconds to read the text in silence.
Check comprehension and give feedback.
- Allow Ss time to do the task. Go around to offer help, if necessary. Get Ss to work in pairs.
- Get Ss to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.
- Divide the class into 2 groups and get them to read aloud each character’s line respectively.
